The thriving culinary scene in the nation's capital will soon be internationally-recognized with its first Michelin guide. The fourth city in the United States to get a guide after Chicago, New York City and San Francisco. In 2016, 76 New York City restaurants received a Michelin star rating, 22 in Chicago and 50 in San Francisco.

Jardenea, the farm-to-fork restaurant, nestled in the luxury boutique hotel, The Melrose Georgetown, has concocted a pink-hued cocktail titled 'The Pink Lady' in honor of NBCAM. Throughout the month, this libation will be available for happy hour (5 PM - 7 PM) every day as part of Jardenea’s 5-5-5 happy hour ($5 cocktails, $5 appetizers, $5 valet), and on the regular cocktail list for $12, and $1 from every 'Pink Lady' sold will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Twenty-five years later, this refined pique-nique has become so popular that it continues to grow worldwide and in numbers. This year 13,000 attended in Paris, 5,000 in New York City, 5,500 in Montreal and 4,500 in Philadelphia.
Spring has arrived in the Nation’s capital and that means happiness all around. People are cheery, there’s music playing in the streets and terraces are open for outside dining. Unlike Europe, there aren't too many options, but the few establishments that do have them, really stand out, like the Park Hyatt's Blue Duck Tavern. And guess what folks, their beautiful sunken patio that includes a blue mosaic fountain (where sometimes you'll see a duck sunning itself) is now open! (cheers all around.)
