Indique - Intense Flavors and Alluring Aromas

A modern Indian restaurant nestled in Cleveland Park, opened its doors in 2002, and helped redefine Indian cuisine in this city. This two-level eatery, whose name is a melange of India and unique, overhauled its menu, decor and beverage program this year and very much succeeded, thanks to Indique's co-partners Surfy Rahman and Executive Chef K.N. Vinod and Stir Bartending Co.'s beverage consultant, Carlie Steiner.

Cochon 555 Heritage BBQ - A Pork-tastic Event

Last Sunday [October 4] was a dreary day in the Nation's Capital, but it was immediately brightened and made better with the Cochon 555 Heritage BBQ event at Union Market. This culinary competition, which is part of a five-city exhibition tour across North America, has three goals:  (1) to promote and educate individuals about heritage breed pigs (2) to highlight grilling cultures from around the world and (3) to raise funds for a local cause.

Fig & Olive | D.C. - A Preview

There's a new Frenchie in town and I am completely enamored. Fig & Olive | D.C. just became the newest addition to the 'French Quarter' of the utopian-esque City Center DC and by that I mean this restaurant that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine joins HermèsCaudalie,  DBGB Kitchen and Bar and soon-to-arrive Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, so I'd like to say bienvenue!

Spring Has Sprung At The Blue Duck Tavern

Spring has arrived in the Nation’s capital and that means happiness all around. People are cheery, there’s music playing in the streets and terraces are open for outside dining. Unlike Europe, there aren't too many options, but the few establishments that do have them, really stand out, like the Park Hyatt's Blue Duck Tavern.  And guess what folks, their beautiful sunken patio that includes a blue mosaic fountain (where sometimes you'll see a duck sunning itself) is now open! (cheers all around.)
